Non-Partisan Vigil for Gun Safety to be held June 12

In conjunction with the Young People’s March for Our Lives in Washington D.C., all are invited to join a non-partisan candlelight vigil on June 12 from 6-7PM at River Falls Veteran’s Park. The vigil is to be followed by a memorial for victims of the school shooting in Uvalde, TX, and the racially-motivated shooting in Buffalo, NY.

This event will be lawful, peaceful, and respectful.

The memorial will remain standing for a few days after the vigil. Please bring candles, flowers, signs, and any other tributes to the victims.

River Falls’ own Thomas Smith will attend, if possible, and read his new poem; others are invited to say words or prayers.

Please spread the word.

The event is organized by the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Social Justice Group.
